Well, before we begin our study of the Word of God today, let me ask, did you do your homework

assignment from our last study? The last time we met, I challenged you to share something

from your own personal Bible reading, your own Bible meditation with someone else. Talk about it

with someone. Did you do it? You see every every truth has a test and

I don't think this truth is really going to sink into your heart and mind until you've tested it for

yourself. Maybe it felt a little awkward at first. Maybe you're not accustomed to doing it. But we're

coming to this truth as we've talked about Bible meditation, that meditation

is basically this. It is God's word in my mouth. We're in Joshua chapter 1, verse number 8, where the

Bible says, this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein, day and night, that thou mayst observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. If you want to learn to meditate in the Word of God, then you've got to begin to talk through the Scriptures

and talk about the Scriptures with other people.

I'm telling you, this opens the Word of God to us.

When I was a boy, my dad said to me, son, there are three talks you should have every day.

This was so simple, but so helpful.

He said, number one, every day you should let God talk to you. He does that through the word.

Number two, he said every day you should talk to God. We do that through prayer. And then he said,

every day you should talk about him. We do that through witnessing and sharing our faith.

Three daily talks to have.
