thank you very much nice to be here to talk about strategy games what i had in mind for today's show was

to discuss a lot of things that have been sort of on my mind things that things little games that i wanted to

bring up but aren't perhaps uh you know worth getting devoting an entire show to or things that, you know,

I just don't have the time to devote, uh, to treat it, giving it the full topic treatment.

So we're going to be discussing a lot of smaller strategy games, uh, indie strategy games,

some old business, uh, some evolving thoughts. Uh, so Phil, I wanted to start with you.

Uh, you know, what, what have you been playing lately from the world of strategy?

Well, I guess the main one is the new DLC for Men of All assault squad, which kind of puts in the other half of the skirmish maps,

as in it starts off with a massive defense, and then once you finish that,

which you probably won't, you get to finish them off and attack.

And it's just, I don't know, two times as epic as Men of War was before, which is pretty impressive, really.

Yeah, there was a mission in the original Men of War.

It's just the second mission, but I think everyone

remembers it pretty well, is this rail yard defense, right? Where you're sort of being

hit by German mechanized units from all directions, and it's this grueling siege. Very

difficult to handle on your own. And it kind of seems to me that the new DLC for Assault Squad kind of
