Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. Did you give up

The King County Council is interviewing three finalists for its open seat this afternoon.

The Council's working to fill the District 5-seat vacated by Dave Up the Grove,

who became State Commissioner of Public Lands earlier this month.

The Council has until March 15th to make their choice,

and the chosen person will be up for

re-election in November.

Washington Senator Patty Murray will be joined by other Democrats in Washington, D.C. this

morning to announce a resolution condemning President Donald Trump's pardoning of January

6th participants.

Murray says the unconditional pardons are a wholesale endorsement of political violence.

She's also calling on Republicans who personally experienced the attack to support the resolution.
