This one Bible verse ended my lukewarm faith. And I know what you're thinking. You've probably

heard other Christians before speak about one verse changing everything, but this isn't a feel-good

motivational message with so many Christians that I even know personally struggling with being

lukewarm in their faith today. I'm going to show you the exact verse that helped me get my

I'm your host, Darren Starks, and this is where you learn to walk with Jesus every single day.

And I don't want to waste any time getting into this particular video because of what this

verse has really done for my life.

And the radical shift I've seen after really implementing what I've gotten from breaking

this verse down.

And the verse I'm speaking of is found in 1 John chapter 4, verse 14,

when it says, we love because he first loved us. And now I know that seems simple. You're

probably asking how or what does this have to do with me getting closer to God. But it really

starts with what I've had to realize and understand is I am always going to be

unable to love God deeply until I understand the love that he has for me.

The love that I have for him is in response of the love that he has already given.

And I cannot step into a deeper relationship without actually knowing what that love is. And there's

a phrase that I say all the time that encapsulates this, which is to know him is to love him,

meaning it is impossible or rather very difficult to really start to know more about who God is and not fall in love with him.

It's impossible to know more of his character, his heart, spending time around him in his presence,

in environments where he is, and not come to be just completely infatuated with him.
