I think there is a big problem in modern America that makes being a mom so unbelievably

hard and yet I almost never see this problem discussed. In fact I'm not sure if I have ever seen it

discussed. It's a very, very rare topic to bring up, but I think if more women understood this, if we as a culture understood

what's going on here and changed it, I think it would change motherhood for a

whole lot of women. So I'm actually really excited to talk about it. It's a little

esoteric but I think stick with me because I actually think this is a one of the more

important topics I have brought up in recent months except for the episode about fireworks.

Obviously that's obviously the most important thing I have brought up recently my last

episode but having women be happy in their roles as moms.

That's also important too.

So this was occasioned by the fact that if you saw my Instagram post

from this week, I was talking about motherhood and in particular how we need to

separate the work that comes with motherhood from our relationships with our kids.

who have been known to see stains on the carpet, be like I need to get a new rug to put

over that and have that be the extent of how much you deal with it.
