We discuss every- thing from how to refer to people you’ve dated, loving the idea of someone vs. them, caring for a partner when they’re sick, sharing traumas too soon, taking risks in relationships, dating two people at once, and more. This episode starts with a solo where I talk about the gray area be- fore you’re official, weird dreams I had during mercury retrograde, and how to deal with a bad work environment.

Hey guys, welcome back to We Met It Acme. I'm super excited about this episode. I feel like

0:11.6

you think I'm being redundant with all this, but I actually genuinely get so excited about our

0:16.4

episodes. And this one today is with Dan Proman. He's a hilarious comedian, but also he's like a real

0:22.8

person and a single guy in the city. And he has a lot of really interesting insight and the

0:28.0

conversation just flowed really well. So I know you're going to enjoy it as much as I did. I felt

0:33.9

like I could talk to him forever. I wanted to just start off talking about a few different things.

0:41.2

I was featured in an article in Vogue, which was so exciting about the coronavirus.

0:48.6

It's nuts. Just like the idea of dating with this really scary big thing that we can't control

0:57.7

in the world, but trust the process and keep your head up and hand sanitize and wash your hands

1:07.4

and shower. Someone asked me how to handle staying at a company that's going under. I am not

1:14.7

a career coach by any means, but I do think that it's similar to when you're dating someone and

1:22.2

you can tell they're starting to like I see you out. Like keep your options open. Don't put all

1:27.5

your eggs in that basket. If you're in the situation at work, then it's so important to like see

1:35.2

what else is out there and see like where else people could really appreciate you. Also, this

1:40.9

construction is insane. Like I texted my super and I was like, you think they'll stop construction

1:45.7

for 10 minutes? And he said, yes, but now they're making these noises. I'm sure you're sick of

1:51.2

talking about construction. Anyway, so I would say just like, you know, if you're in a situation where

1:57.9

like your boss is getting laid off and you have to step into a new role, it's like step into that

2:01.6

role, step it up. And if you can't handle it anymore and you don't respect the company that you're

2:07.3

at because of all the changes and shit that's going on, then start looking for something new and

2:12.8

be proactive because being complacent is going to get you nowhere. We talked a little bit about the
