Hey, deserve listeners. It's just me today. I received an email recently from someone

0:06.8

emailing in as a client saying that her and her therapist are maybe starting a romantic

0:14.7

sexual type of relationship. And so I thought I would review that email in this episode and

0:22.8

talk about all the different things that need to be discussed when we talk about this sort

0:29.5

of thing. So let's get into it. This email is from an anonymous YouTube member. She says,

0:36.8

I would like your opinion on my therapist. I feel like there is a lot of transferants, counter

0:43.6

transferants going on. But I've never been in therapy before. So I don't know if it's normal.

1:46.1

but I've recently been told that it's not, okay, just chiming in. So I'm guessing that you might

1:53.3

have been asking around about this transferants, counter transferants, or maybe something else.

1:59.2

And people are saying to you that it's not normal or maybe even claiming it's unethical

2:04.9

for your therapist to see you and your two kids all individually in therapy. And the way people

2:13.9

talk about this is absurd. People even ethics teachers sometimes miss the market on this.

2:23.3

So when you actually talk to people who adjudicate these kinds of things or who litigate these

2:28.0

things in court or who review these things for licensing boards, they will never tell you that

2:36.0

it's unethical for a therapist to see a mom and her two kids individually. There are pros and
