Hi, this is Scott Hong. I want to welcome you to the Road to Amayas a

podcast from the St Paul Center where we take a look at different aspects of

sacred scripture in the life of the church. Today I am very pleased and excited to welcome as my guest

Justine Callis. Welcome, Justin. Hi Dr. Han, thank you for having me.

I am tentatively entitling our episode, theology and conversion.

So that should alert our listeners to the fact that we're going to be discussing not just

in conversion in theory, but in practice and in particular your own journey of faith,

which I find very fascinating.

And so give us a little background as to your own upbringing you that kind of thing.

Yeah, so I was born and raised in a Protestant Christian home and we prayed every day, we went to church, we read scripture, and my parents taught us about the love of Jesus and I was so

happy I have no memory of my life before Jesus which I consider just such a gift. And so I was born in a home that was full of the Lord. I went to a private Christian school and learned about the Lord more there. And it was like a half-home school model

and it emphasized really family life.

So it's a very beautiful, beautiful upbringing

and it was just in love with Jesus for.

And this was where in Virginia?

Yes, in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Okay.

Good. Now, overlaying that family life

is another factor that most people don't share with you and that is gymnastics?

Yes.
