Yeah, like, there's been a few days that have been 70s and the next day it'll be like 30 and raining. But finally, it's beautiful out. Like you said, I'd love to be outside more this time of year, take Cooper on longer walks. I get so excited when you go to the farmer's market and see all that great spring produce, the asparagus and rhubarb, which kind of leads us into today's topic a little bit. Yeah, and it's funny because it's like, for me, it's one of those times of year where everybody kind of has the same momentum, you know, the same moment where they're like, oh, she's getting, it's getting warm out there.

I got to start to think about my summer bod. Summer bod, right? It's been a long, dark winter, and I'm going to go get a salad. And it seems like that that's a good idea. Like, let's have a salad for lunch. Let's have a salad for dinner. swap out, you know, one of those, one of those, you know, heavier meals for a lighter fare.

But all salads, you know, it might not be the move to make, actually. Yeah, salads may seem like the best choice, but believe it or not, many restaurants serve up salads that have more calories than a whopper. I mean, some of them top out well over a thousand calories for a salad. Which is crazy, by the way. Yeah, this is the time of year.

1:29.9

When it gets warmer outside, I create. I mean, some of them top out well over a thousand calories for a salad. Which is crazy, by the way.

1:28.8

Yeah, this is the time of year. When it gets warmer outside, I crave salads more than I do in the winter. In the winter, I want, like, warm, hearty food. You want that freshness, right? You smell it. You're outside, and you can almost smell the herbs and all of those things, and it's like, all So then your body is like, oh, yeah.

Green.

1:43.3

Yeah.

1:43.6

1:45.3

But the problem, the problem a sudden your body is like, oh, yeah. Green. Yeah. That stuff's ready.

1:44.5

It's ready. But the problem, the problem is, though, is you think that's what you, you think salad, and that's what you think. And you see salad on the menu, and that's what you think. But that's not what actually comes on a plate. It might say salad, but is it a salad, right? Yeah, and what's crazy

2:01.6

is more often than you realize that salad is actually the worst choice on the entire menu,

2:06.9

which you wouldn't, you know, think of, but restaurants have learned that nutrition

2:11.0

sells, they have all those crazy marketing terms, they smack high calorie bombs onto the

2:16.1

menu, often labeled as lighter fare, and it can encourage you to make a seemingly healthy choice.
