Anora tells the story of an exotic dancer from Brooklyn,

who falls in love with and marries the son of a Russian oligarch,

and Jocelyn is already getting praised for her authentic, evocative, and lived-in costume design.

To prepare for the movie, Jocelyn spent a lot of time

in Brighton Beach, where the film is set, to get a sense of the world she was creating. She even

invited some of the real-life dancers who appeared in the film to bring in their own clothing to use.
