Marist Jones. You might recognize Marist from her high production Tic Toc or for her incredible set design for Chapel Rones, TV, and festival appearances.

Maris trained in video production and originally got her foot in the door when she got popular on Vine.

She parlayed that into commercial and film work all the while creating her own projects on YouTube,

Tik-Toc, and more.

Over the years, she's honed her own distinct point of view,

and this September, she has a new book out called

Unlock Your A Stetic,

a visual guide to find your vibe,

to help you do the same.

She's here today to talk about her inspirations,

the difficulty of creating content for the algorithm,

and the story behind Chapples iconic Govball apple bong.

So you're an artist in every sense of the word. You're best known for highly stylized videos or mini movies as you call them. And you don't just direct and act in them. You edit, light, animate them. You're kind of a

Renaissance woman who does the entire thing and you design and build the sets.

So I'm curious how you became interested in all of these different art forms and

how they come together to create a final product.

As it turns out, I'm a final results person so I often urge people to think of what they want an outcome to be rather than how they're going to achieve it

because it takes away the pressure unless you kind of just go for it so I think

naturally just by being somebody who wanted to have an end result it ended up having me develop all these
