And we are inevitably going to talk about the Grammys.

Now I said last week that when we were talking about the Rockman Hall of Fame that the

Hall of Fame briefly seemed like it was in in much better shape than the Recording Academy

because it was not actively on fire.

Which the Grammys went on while the institution that governs it was basically on fire. Deborah Duggan, the the CEO was

was dismissed and then launched a series of really alarming and grave

accusations against the academy

the academy, including rampant gender bias and some other really nasty

things that the academy in turn denied.

And yet, the show went on in very grand and grandiose fashion. It was a strange show and then it was already going to be bizarre and then

Kobe Bryant died which cast a pall over the whole thing and made another strange thing over the whole thing.

So it was just a weird, weird night, albeit with great redeeming moments.

Bernie, what were your big takeaways from this very strange music's oddest night?

I mean, they just got to have, they have to make sure to always highlight the new artist because

those performances were incredible.

I think like all the performances from the best new artist category were the only reason to watch the show just I mean ever but like I mean it was great to see that and so that was my big takeaway is have little Nasak's perform every single year.

Every single year.

Now nominate him for best new artists until the end of time.

Yes.

He was nominated for album of the year with like four songs.

Like, it's complete, it's like, sorry Taylor Swift, lover isn't quite good enough for album
