A couple months ago, I sat down in the barn on Cheryl Crowe's beautiful property on the outskirts of Nashville.

The Barn is also home to her recording studio,

which is this beautiful upstairs studio

where actually Casey Musgrave came by and recorded her

Grammy Lending album so she lets the other artists hang out in there.

And Cheryl and I talked about her whole career about the making of her new album

Threads, about the making of Tuesday Night Music Club and some of our other classic

albums, and there's a lot to the interview, so let's get right to it.

So you have a really beautiful studio upstairs.

It's one of those studios that you could call it a home studio,

but I would just call it a studio.

Quite a few people have recorded and just gotten away from, you know, the eyes of the industry

and come here and it kind of worked things out and done writing sessions and stuff.

It's a good vibe.

And I understand there were some odors that were mysterious to some members of your household.
