Today, on the weekend pulpit, we are happy to share a full-length Bible message given through Scott's pulpit ministry. Well, if you were in the Sunday school hour, you know we're in a certain book of the Old Testament.

Let's open the Word of God together again to the little book of Ruth.

Someone told me just a few moments ago during the fellowship time.

This was her favorite book of the Bible.

Anybody else say Ruth is your favorite?

That's good.

It's a great one.

And it's not really about Ruth.

It's all about Jesus.

All of the Word of God is to help us know the God of the Word.

And so when you come to the book of Ruth, this is not just a story. This is the Lord's redemption

story. This is not just the history of some family. This is a message to the family of God.

And it reveals the heart of God and the love of God for sinners. Are there any

sinners here today glad God loves sinners? And the Lord didn't wait till you get better to love you.

He loves you exactly like you are. He meets you exactly where you are. And praise God,

he loves you too much to leave you there. He brings you to where he wants you to be. That is the

picture we find in the little book of Ruth.
