These messages were recorded live in a local church or gospel event in recent days. It is our prayer that the message will be a help to you today. I want you to open your Bible with me, please, to the gospel according to John,
0:59.2	John chapter number 17.
1:01.8	And I bring you to what I think is one of the most sacred of all of the recorded words of Jesus.
1:10.6	It is so because he is not speaking to us.
1:15.6	He is speaking to his father.
1:18.5	Now, he's going to speak to us through the words of his prayer
1:22.1	because the Holy Spirit inspired John to write it down.
1:26.9	But John 17 is Jesus' prayer closet. You read the
1:33.5	prayer of Solomon for wisdom. You read the prayer of Abraham, the prayer of Moses for direction,
1:38.7	the prayers of David and the Psalms, lots of great prayers. But can you imagine listening to Jesus pray?
1:46.8	Would you go with me?
1:47.5	Come on now.
1:48.1	I want you to go with me.
1:49.6	Into the prayer closet with the Lord Jesus.
1:52.6	Be real still now.
1:53.6	Be real quiet.
1:55.8	And lend your ear and your heart.
1:58.9	And listen to the son talking to the father. Can you imagine?
2:07.1	In fact, if you looked at the last verse of chapter number 16, he was speaking to the disciples,
2:12.9	these things I have spoken unto you that in me you might have peace. In the world, you shall have
2:20.7	tribulation, but I like this, be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. And all God's
