I have personally learned that when I least feel like singing, I most need to.

When I really don't feel like praising God, when thanks is not the first thing on my mind or

on my lips, that is the very moment where I must choose by faith to praise the Lord.

I say again that praise is perhaps the ultimate expression of faith.

And this is the point I want to make today.

I really believe that praise, believing God enough to give him thanks

and to trust him with a grateful heart is the secret

to staying victorious in the midst of the battles of life.

Look, we're all in a battle.

Every one of us, we're in the fight of our lives and the fight for our life,

but you have to learn to praise God even in the midst of that.

Today, I want to read all of Psalm 146. It's what we've been studying all week long. We've come to the last day in this Psalm. It's the first Psalm of the Hallelujah Chorus, and I want to read all 10 verses and then make a few observations today and applications to all of our lives. The psalmist writes in Psalm 146, praise you the Lord.

Praise the Lord, oh, my soul.

While I live, will I praise the Lord.

I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
