We're studying through the opening verses, this amazing chapter, 1 Corinthians chapter 10.

It is a faith increasing passage because all scripture is.

Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God.

But it is also a heart searching passage because like the sword of the spirit often does,

it digs deep. And it begins to reveal the great

needs that we all have. I think, if you'll permit me, we'll jump right in the middle of it.

We began our study in verse number one, and we got acquainted with not just Moses and the

children of Israel. Praise God, we met Jesus in the passage. Every text, every text is for the purpose of showing

us Christ. So, when you come to the written word, you ought to be looking for the living word.

And that's the point Paul is making. He said that rock was Christ. Come now in our study down to verse number 11.

And I want to zero in, if I may, for a few moments on two verses, verse 11 and verse 12,

and ask you to pray that the Holy Spirit of God would use this portion of scripture in your life. I must tell you before I read it,

he's using it in mind. Paul writes, verse 11, now all these things happened unto them for in samples.

And they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come wherefore

let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

I'd like you take a pen tonight and mark a phrase, if you will, at the end of verse number 11.
