In our world, there is so much sorrow, misery, and sadness.

We see indicators all around us that reveal to us that most people are looking for something,

anything, that can bring them true joy. In this study on joy,

teacher from history. Just a name and a book somewhere? No, the Lord Jesus Christ is very much alive.

He is alive and he lives in those who have put their faith in him.

This is the great joy that we have a living Christ and he lives on the inside. I want to bring

you to two passages, one in Matthew chapter 28 and the other in Luke chapter number 24 and both

have one thing in common, a living Christ.

In fact, the context of Matthew 28 and Luke 24 is just after our Lord was raised from the dead.

So we have him who was crucified and buried and now is alive.

And look at the joy that it produces.

Matthew chapter 28 and verse number eight says of these early disciples,

and they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy.

And did run to bring his disciples word.

Now, those two things typically don't go together, fear and joy, all, but they do here because they were in awe.

They were in amazement.

They trembled at the thought of the power of Almighty God, but yet this fear brought them exuberance,
