Today, on the weekend pulpit, we are happy to share a full-length Bible message given through Scott's pulpit ministry. These messages were recorded live in a local church or gospel event in recent days. It is our prayer that the message will be a help day long today.

1:05.9

So congratulations for being in on the first step of our little journey through this book of the Bible.

1:11.0

Let's open the word together this morning to the book of Ruth, if you will, in the Old

1:15.6

Testament. I love the book of Ruth. I don't know that I have preached at all from the book

1:22.8

of Ruth in the last couple of years during the COVID season when we were all on lockdown. Everybody

2:13.6

sometimes you read through, and the Holy Spirit just almost lifts the text right off the page,

2:19.1

and you begin to see things.

2:21.1

And that happened for me.

2:22.5

And so God used this book to encourage me, and I'm praying God to use it to encourage you today.

2:28.2

You know, this emphasis on the promises of God your church has on this Lord's Day.

2:32.9

If you take the book of Ruth, just glance through.

2:35.3

Would you just turn a page of it?

2:36.3

It's short, just four chapters long.

2:38.9

But if you take the book of Ruth, it's a narrative account.
