Everyone loves a good story and a good storyteller.

But there is no storyteller like the Lord Jesus,

and there are no greater stories told than the ones Jesus shared.

In this study, spiritual stories, we consider the parables Jesus told and their

application to us. These are truly the greatest stories ever told, and the Lord has something

If you've ever been lost, I mean really lost, not just turned around, but perhaps on a hike in the middle of a dense forest and suddenly you can't find your way, there is a moment that is just a terrifying thing which

infinitely eternally worse than being lost here and that is being lost forever much worse than being lost physically is being lost spiritually.

And today we turn our attention to a series of parables that Jesus gave, all centered around the

idea of the lost. I'm referring to Luke chapter number 15. There are a number of stories in this one chapter.

We're about to study all of them over the next few days.

There's a lost sheep.

There's a lost coin.

And then, in fact, there's not one lost boy.

There are two lost boys.

One is lost in the far country and one is lost at home.

But everything in this chapter revolves around the idea of the lost.

It really is four stories, one parable, one great theme.
