So many of us believe somewhere deep down that cynicism is protecting us from something,

0:08.5

our Superman shield, right? And yet it really just eats us from within when we live with it.

0:14.4

We wind up seeing the world just very dimly always. It's just that constant burden that we carry, that form of negativity,

0:23.3

that heaviness that we feel towards the world and towards people.

I've been asking myself this question this morning. Have I wasted time in my life being cynical?

1:46.3

1:54.0

are born positive often have that like a little bit of a naive streak. Maybe they see things

2:00.1

too rosy at times, so that could perhaps be the

2:02.9

downside. I still admire you if this is you, by the way, but I have to say that it's kind of out

2:08.7

of your control, too, in a way. You were just born that way, in a good way. Naturally, you're that
