| 1:12.3 | it was too incredible or unlikely when I later read in the work of another scholar that the Vatican ran the world's oldest and perhaps best intelligence service. |

| 1:30.0 | And in the process of writing my last book, I was able to come in contact with some people in the intelligence community who had been involved in penetrating the Vatican during World War II when we occupied Rome in 1944 and 1945. |
