A serial killer with the belief that if he held oranges on top of his head, he'd absorbed

the vitamin C through his brain.

He also believed that drinking the blood of people would prevent his heart from shrinking.

He's the killer known as the vampire of Sacramento,

Richard Chase.

Richard Chase had a very short run of murders starting in late 1977.

It ended a month later.

During that time in Sacramento, local dairy farmers were protesting the price of milk,

which had them barely breaking even.

A herd of cows even walked in the protest, making big news. This was obviously before chick-fil-a cows were out here misspelling on billboards. During this time,

there was also a serial rapist on the prowl. Had people worried. The East Area rapist, Joseph

DeAngelo, also known as the Golden State Killer.

Richard Chase's killing spree was one that luckily didn't last long, but still has a death

toll of six. Chase was born in 1950, and by the age of 10, displayed evidence of all three parts of the McDonald triad.

If you've never heard of it, it's a pretty interesting study where there are a set of three factors that suggests if any combination of two or more are present,

that person is believed to be predispositioned to later violent tendencies, specifically serial violent tendencies.
