Now, I'm delighted to welcome to the show, a man whose show I appear on quite a lot,

far more than he appears on mine.

So I'm going to try and set the record straight, try and even up the balance a little bit.

Yeah, thank you very much, indeed, for joining us. I was gobsmacked yesterday, as I'm sure you were, when I heard,

first of all, Nahim Zahawai saying it in the House of Commons, followed up by Boris Johnson.

When Zahawai said it, I thought, surely I've misheard that. Surely I haven't just heard him say that if you haven't been vaccinated twice, you can't get into a nightclub.

But sure enough, that's what they've said.

That's what they've said.

I mean, blimey, Mike, if that was Freedom Day, I dread to think what restrictions day would look like, right?

I mean, I was actually trying to work out yesterday what freedoms I got back.

And there was one.

I had lunch in a restaurant and I no longer

had to wear a face mask walking into the restaurant and sitting down at my table. So it saved me some mask wearing for about 20 yards.

But I don't consider that to be a return of my ancient freedoms. And then you're quite right that they've announced this other, I think now, bizarre restriction.

Look, dealing with this illness has been one hell of a problem.

Thank God the vaccines come along so we can protect people against it.

But we now have to get used to living with this in the same sort of way that we live with flu.

And if come September or October, you need to show that you've had a COVID jab in order to get into a night flu. And if come September or October,
