let's have a listen to Boris Johnson, who's explaining now why he's decided it's a great idea to self-isolate.

Hi, folks, like so many hundreds of thousands of other people across the country,

I've been pinged, I've been asked to self-isolate by the

test trace and isolate system after I've been in contact with somebody who has COVID. In this case,

of course, the health secretary, Sajid, jabid. And we did look briefly at the idea of us

taking part in the pilot scheme which allows people to test

daily, but I think it's far more important that everybody sticks to the same rules. And that's why

I'm going to be self-isolating until the 26th of July, Monday, the 26th of July. And I really,

I know how frustrated it all is, but I really do urge everybody to stick with the program and take the appropriate course of action when you're asked

to do so by NHS test and train. It's quite hard to keep a straight face, isn't it? Dan Hodge's a very good

So it's very important that everybody sticks to the same rules, Dan.

So does that mean that all the people who are part of this mysterious trial stroke pilot system are now going to stop doing it?

Well, apparently, the government's now said they're not going to take part in it anymore,

which is good and is proper.

But as you saw, I mean, the Prime Minister there was saying, oh yeah, they briefly thought about taking part in it.

And he was lying.

They hadn't briefly thought about taking part in it.

The government's been taking part in this scheme since May.
