Now there are times when you wonder what is going to happen next.

This is one of those times.

It's a Wednesday.

It's the middle of the week.

It's normally going to be quite an exciting lead up to Prime Minister's questions.

But to be honest, I can't really work up much enthusiasm for it because I'll tell you why.

We're very distracted at the moment, it seems to me. We've got a government

which is kind of moving from pillar to post, one minute saying it doesn't want to vaccinate children.

The next minute, say it does want to, however, make sure that teenagers have some kind of vaccine

passport in order to gain entry to a nightclub. One minute they're saying, we're going to lock up

loads and loads of these people traffickers who are bringing thousands of people into Britain on dinghies.

And then the next thing you know, there's more and more thousands of dinghies arriving, more and more thousands of people arriving.

And even as we speak, there will be beaches across the south and the east coast of this country with people just walking off boats, walking into towns. I mean,

the fact that we are somehow processing all of these people is a complete and utter nonsense.

I saw some footage yesterday of a load of people jumping off a boat, being welcomed, it would

seem by people who were sort of signaling them in. And then there wasn't really any border force

people there at all. So presumably, if you can do that and you can avoid the border force, you're already here, you don't even have to worry about

being processed. You are now in Britain and you can now do and see and say whatever you like.
