God isn't measuring your progress against someone else's. He's looking at your heart and your life and your journey.

Hey, hey, welcome back. I'm so excited that you are here today because we're talking about something that just might change the way you approach every goal in your life. Seriously. We've had enough time since the beginning of the year. If you're a New Year's resolutions girl, I am not. If you are, you probably have fallen off the New Year's resolution wagon, right? Or you're feeling guilty about it, or you're like, forget it. I'm

0:38.6

never going to do New Year's resolutions again. There's nothing special about New Year's. I feel like

0:43.3

for real change, New Year's resolutions are a total waste of time. I'm going to give you my secrets for

1:38.5

like barbecue chicken and spaghetti because they were reliable, and I would not kill anyone with them. For instance, I've never

1:46.0

made a Thanksgiving turkey because I want people to enjoy the turkey. Mark always cooks the

1:51.3

great meals in our house, but at about 45, I thought, surely I can figure out how to cook something

1:57.6

that doesn't involve ketchup or a slow cooker. You know what I'm saying?

2:07.0

Spoiler alert. My first fancy soup did taste like a boiled shoe, but you know, progress is progress.

2:13.9

I started small. I watched a five-minute cooking tutorial. I tried a single new ingredient there.

2:19.5

And slowly but surely, I learned how to season food, how to make sauces from scratch,

2:25.0

and how to even bake bread. Who knew? You see, those tiny experiences, they built my confidence and made cooking something I actually enjoy now. I make soup every Sunday, every weekend I make

2:32.0

soup for the week. I freeze half of it and eat half of it because

2:35.7

that's such a quick and easy way for me to get my veggies in. If you had told me five years ago that I
