something a little bit different that we haven't done before. Now I have had interviews before,

but it's always been me talking to someone who is connected with the Twilight Zone in some way

But this time I'm going to present a classic interview with Rod Sailing now it's the first in a series

Now I'm not going to put them all out one after another but from time to time when I need a bit of time to work on the regular episodes

I think this is another good way of keeping the wheels turn and keeping that train rolling

rather than not putting out anything at all I can put something like this out while I work on the regular show I

also like to you know mix things up sometimes add new things to the fabric of the show

and make here about more than just the Twilight Zone TV show and some of the

things on the periphery some of the interviews some of the products some of the things on the periphery, some of the interviews, some of the products, some of the books, etc., etc.

But this time round I'm presenting to you, it's a very famous interview, it's nothing new, and doubtless many of you will have heard it before, but it's a great interview and to hear Rod Serling when he was just on the cusp of the Twilight Zone coming out

speaking about you know himself what he'd done so far and what he planned with the Twilight Zone is immensely fascinating

now the thing is at this point he's still kind of playing his cards close to

his chest a little bit about what he's going to achieve with this show because I think he didn't

really want to let the cat out of the bag you know he was hiding these these things in plain

sight these messages that he wanted to get across through his writing

because, you know, he was sneaking them under the nose of the advertisers and so on.

So he's still kind of a little cagey about a few things at this point, so it's interesting to watch.

But as ever, he is a fascinating man and to hear him speak you know he is just immeasurably intelligent

and you can hear that voice that comes through in the twilight zone but here in its purest form, him sitting and speaking to us.
