You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind,

a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination.

That's the signpost up ahead. Your next stop that twilight's on. Before we jump forward in time with the main character of the Twilight Zone that we're going to be discussing tonight,

let's go back in time ourselves and see where we've traveled in time before in the show.

And in particular, let's think about that Twilight's own

brand of cosmic justice and whether it's all present in those stories before

we'll start with the 16mm shrine now you could say it's not really time travel

she actually enters one of her movies but in a sense there is that time travel element to it because it happened in the past.

She traveled back in time to a time when she was happier.

Now looking back now, it's a bit of an odd one because she isn't the nicest of people, but in a way she has gifted a chance to go to a happier place.

It doesn't really fit with that usual brand of Twilight's own cosmic justice.

Then we have the mighty walking distance. This time Martin Sloan burned out longing for times gone by

travels back to his hometown during a time when he was a child I covered these episodes so

long ago that I can't recall exactly what I said about them but in this one it's like the

Twilight Zone is giving him a chance to go back and enjoy that time and place

but he steps over the line he interferes where he shouldn't interfere so the Twilight Zone slaps him down

and chastises him for crossing that line and he has a limp for the rest of his life as a result.

So there is that element of cosmic justice there.

Then we have Judgment Night in which Carl Lancet is sent.

Is it back in time or is it kind of just a virtual construct of his past?

But he has to experience his past from the

perspective of the people that he killed so this time that cosmic justice aspect is
