Our text today comes from Ephesians chapter 4, verse 21 through 24 in the new living translation of the scriptures, notice there these words.

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.

Instead, let the spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.

Put on your new nature created to be like God, truly righteous and holy.

God is a god of transformation.

He changes people's lives. And we are deeply grateful for that.

We depend upon that. We need that. And I'm grateful that God is the ultimate transformer.

He is the one that does a makeover better than any other cosmetician could do, any stylist could do.

God is absolutely awesome.

And I want you to realize this about transformation.

Transformation is the spirit-driven process of being inwardly renewed and outwardly conformed into the image of Christ moving from one degree of glory to another. So he's working on the inside

and the outside. It is the spirit-driven process of being inwardly renewed first and then

outwardly conformed into the image of Christ moving from one degree of glory to another.

The main Greek word for transformation, as you may know, is that metamorpho, for which we get

the word metamorphosis, that incredible change. Transformation means to change forms. It means to change forms.

It also means to undergo a complete change in nature, to undergo a complete change in condition,

or to go undergo a complete change in appearance. That's
