truly god is good to Israel to those whose hearts are pure but as for me i almost lost my footing

my feet were slipping it and I was almost gone,

for I envied the proud when I saw them prospered despite their wickedness.

They seem to live such painless lives.

Their bodies are so healthy and strong.

They don't have troubles like other people.

They are not plagued with problems like everyone else.

We're speaking today from the subject, the greener grass conflict.

You may be seated. This is a Psalm of Asaph, and he says

that almost lost my soul. My foot almost slipped because I was looking at what other folks

had. I was en at what other folks had.

I was envious of the wicked.

Isn't it amazing how we can sometimes be lusting after something that someone else has,

assuming that they've got it all like that?

Particularly on social media as you scroll and you're looking at other people that's just, you know, get a picture.

They own the back of a yacht somewhere in some exotic place.

And every time that they go out into a place where they bring the drinks in there, smoke boiling out of the glass and all of these things

and it makes you then want that kind of lifestyle it's amazing but envy is nothing more than

the result of counting somebody else's blessings more than you count your own. That's all.

Envy thrives on comparison.
