Keith William Allen, born November 19, 1946, came from a family of well-known names,

was educated at Northcote High School, and then at the University of Melbourne, where he got

his Bachelor of Laws, purchased his own practice right after graduation, and worked as a

solicitor at Avondale Heights, even opening a second practice in Springvale in 1992.

Considered hardworking and likable, he was also a man who, at the age of 53, still lived next door to his elderly mother and shared the space with his brother on the same quiet street where they were raised.

Liking order in his life, he would often spend Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays having dinner with his childhood friend,

Cheryl Sutherland, who said that they were both pretty similar in that they didn't like to party, drink, or smoke.

And on Saturdays, the pair would spend their

days harness racing together. He loved spending his time at the trots, and for many years,

socialized and immersed himself in the sport. And in 1984, Keith was named the secretary of the
