I'm Alex Kazora. Though the Pittsburgh Steelers next game is already tomorrow night,

I want to go back to something Mike Tomlin had to say during his Monday press

conference. It was a standard presser overall but one comment really caught my

attention. In reviewing the defense's performance against Jacksonville,

Tomlin said their three takeaways weren't enough.

Quote, although I do appreciate them, they kept the score down,

they weren't the type of ones that teed up the offense, end quote.

So, good job defense.

You single-handedly kept Pittsburgh in the game, but ah, man,

could you have done a little bit more?

Those turnovers, they could have been better. What's next? Well you had

three turnovers they gave the offense the ball at the opponents too but can you guys just

score next time how about being the sole source of the offense thank you very much

look I understand Tomlin's point not all turnovers are created equal he knows how bad

this offense has been and that they need every advantage they can get.

And on the Monte Casey's interception, he erred and stepped out of bounds at his own two,

though the offense managed to squeeze a field goal from their worst field position of the day.

Pittsburgh's defense is its strength and Tomlin wants to set the bar high.

It's asking the A student to become an A plus one because they're capable of it.

But the Steelers defense also has its share of problems. They're more like a B student.
