By now I think we all understand when and how the Pittsburgh Steelers offense succeeds.

The first three quarters are a slog.

The fourth quarter, Pittsburgh wakes up and says,

okay boys, time to go and they get going.

If we can make the whole airplane out of that little

black box and the whole stealer's offense out of the fourth quarter man life would be

sweet. Kenny Pickets and the team success late in games has become well documented and that should not be downplayed.

If you're going to have a gene, it's good to have the clutch one.

But there's something else this team does well on offense that gets far less attention.

It's something I really hadn't thought about until recently, especially this past week

when I wrote a list of a few things this offense seems to do well.

Pittsburgh does a really nice job of scheming away and minimizing top defensive players, especially past rushes.

Nick Bosa, Miles Garrett, Max Crosby, and Aaron Donald Sunday,

all top threats and some of the best of what they do.

Against the Steelers, they've been quiet. Not invisible, mind you they've made some plays, but they did not write the headlines. They did not change the game.

Combine, those four have six quarterback hits in just one sack against the Steelers.

That's as good as you're going to see a team do versus guys like them.

Those guys are capable of putting up numbers like that in a single game and they often do.

Sometimes football is not just about the scheme in terms of calling the right play against the right coverage.
