Welcome to the terrible take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind.

I'm Alex Kazora.

I know it's kind of sort of obvious and we all understand it, but getting wide receiver

Deonti Johnson back is big for this offense. I'm pumped to see

him return. Not as much as he is. He was super happy in speaking to reporters last week, but

I'm thrilled all the same.

Still the team's most complete receiver and top route runner among the NFL,

Johnson will take the pressure off George Pickens, fewer double teams, more 1 v 1 chances, and when Pickens gets those, as seen

in the Ravens game, he wins big and the offense is better.

It'll also open up Calvin Austin to play more in the slot, maybe to work in the receiver-run game and for the Steelers to be more creative with him.

No, Johnson's return does not solve everything, but it does make this offense easier. Easier to hit that short

route in the quick game. Easier to find an open guy when Matt Canada has every route

independent of each other as he often does. And hopefully Johnson can yes find the end zone for the first time in forever a drought I know he's itching to break.

I am excited to see number 18 back on the field in week 7 against the ramps.
