I've been adamant to Pittsburgh's offensive failures on Sunday were unit wide, not just on one man, and Kenny Pickett was bad,

very, very bad.

You want to point fingers, it should begin, though, not end with him, but not him alone. Still I've gone through the entire all-22 tape and my

conclusion for the offense beyond its sloppiness is, this offense is boring.

I know game circumstance curtails creativity.

But, whoa, this offense is an eyesore.

I'm far from the only one to say it, but this unit has had about five passing concepts in this

game against San Francisco. Three by one, they did this, two by two, they did that. The same

spacing concepts over and over again. We get it. You want to run Hank,

Matt Canada. None of that absolves Pickett, who forced throws, made bad reads, and the offense

rarely felt in sync, though Mike Tomlin is right the pass protection actually wasn't too bad considering the front they faced.

The five sack its picket took are a bit deceiving.

But this offense is just so blah, there's just nothing interesting going on.

Routes are too independent. Concepts are always mirrored in either work or don't.

And there's not many chances to do anything big. The 49ers, to their credit, had a good game

plan. Eight man box, stop the run, play the corners off and take away the deep ball.

But this offense in Pittsburgh just feels lifeless.

That's in personnel, no doubt, but also in play call,

and neither are doing the other any favors.
