Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

I'm gonna bounce off something our Matthew Marxi wrote on Tuesday morning for the site.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have gone from being sleepers to trendy sleepers to now I think everyone expects them to have a

big year, to win double-digit games and compete in the AFC North if not win it outright.

At this point can the Steelers even be a sleeper if everyone thinks they are the team to beat.

Now I know none of this really matters what the pundits say, heck what I say is really immaterial to the season.

But Pittsburgh, as you probably agree, seems to do better when everyone brushes them aside and gives up on their hopes.

They like having that steel city-sized chip on their shoulder.

It's been a great summer for the Steelers, almost too good. That's the paranoia ingrained in me watching this team all my life, but at some point the good teams are going to stop.

Pause, at least while the team suffers a tough loss, has a key injury, battles some sort of adversity.

Perspective, I guess, is the word I'm looking for. My thought is it's never as bad as you think,

nor never as good as you think. We're flying high right now.

Hopefully that continues, but at some point we're going to come back to Earth, at least a little bit.
