Welcome to the terrible take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind.

I'm Alex Kizora.

This will be my last take ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers pre-season finale Thursday

against the Atlanta Falcons a last chance for

those jockeying for a spot on this roster to state their case. There's a handful of

ongoing battles either for players trying to make the team or to solidify their role,

but I'm really interested above all in the D-Line competition.

Even defensive coordinator Terrel Austin acknowledged how close-step battle is and how they're probably

going to lose someone worthy of making the 53 in a less intense situation. You could mock up the D line in a half dozen different ways, but I'm most eager to check out Isaiah Lautermock and Armon Watts, two defensive ends possibly fighting for one spot.

They're two different styles, Lottemoke a little more safe with decent run defense in time

in this team system.

Watts is a free agent addition in better athlete and pass

Russia though his game can run hot and cold and he's prone to losing his

balance. It's plausible that both make it you can certainly other knowing only one of them may make it through to the other.

It's not the only battle to watch, but for me, it's the top one.
