Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kizora.

Today is a happy day, the first day of Pittsburgh Steelers training camp.

Players reported today with the first practice taking place tomorrow.

The off season is over and football is back, not a moment too soon.

We're back to talk about what matters and

2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year.

I'm always looking forward to everything big and small this time of year,

but for a Steelers team that ended 2022 on a high note, their ability to progress

into 2023 has me optimistic. The second year players will be under an especially watchful eye, names like Kenny Pickett, George

Pickens, Jaylin Warren, and others.

Omar Khan has turned over this roster with plenty of new faces.

The camp battles at left tackle, third string running back slot

corner, and whoever impresses Danny Smith on special teams will be things to watch. Camp is just a wonderful time.

It's a great environment, a dying breed of a team going away,

practicing in Latrobe the birthplace of professional football. A free event,

for fans to watch their favorite team get autographs, just hang out for a couple hours and watch the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's a busy time, but a ton of fun. I'm thrilled to see what happens next.
