Sometimes people in the media say things that just leaves you scratching your head with confusion and sometimes even

disgust. Former NFL GM Mike Tannbaum, who spent time with the jets and dolphins in his career seems to do that a lot lately

when talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers on ESPN.

Tannenbaum was added again on Monday on ESPN's Get Up, taking a shot at Steelers quarterback

Kenny Pickett while reasoning that the Steelers can't compete in the AFC North and make the

playoffs in 2023. That shot at Pickett?

He believes the second-year quarterback doesn't have that ability to score points in chunks in the NFL and compete against the best

signal callers in the game head-to-head. Talk about a hot take after just 12 starts.

I get it. That's what sells on all those talking head shows on the big networks.

Say outlandish things, generate headlines and talking points, rinse and repeat day after day after day.

There's just one problem though.

And that problem is that a guy like There's just one problem though.

And that problem is that a guy like Tannabam certainly believes what he's saying to his core.

Even worse, he can't keep his points straight either. Earlier in the off-season, Tannenbaum praised Pickett in the Steelers and believed they were on the right

track, even if he thought they'd finish last in a difficult

AFC North.

He said time and time again, they're a good team and Pickett looks like a franchise quarterback.

Now, in the dog days of summer just days away from the start of training camp,

the concerns with the Steelers for Tannenbaum center around Pickett again, and him not having some sort of ability, so he believes, to score points in bunches.
