again for perhaps the league's most egregious violator

of the policy.

While not official, it appears Colt's defensive back Isaiah Rogers is facing a hefty suspension.

Reportedly, a Colts player gambled hundreds of times on football games, including betting on the Colts, and making many of those wagers inside the team

facility which is the least of his offenses but also against the rules.

Rogers has put out a statement apologizing and vowing to redeem himself, essentially confirming it's him.

Soon enough, the League should offer a formal punishment likely and indefinite suspension

that will be a minimum of one year.

For the NFL, what's old is new?

Gambling in sports has happened over the decades.

Famously, Paul Hornick and Alex Karis, two NFL stars, were suspended for an entire year in 1963 for gambling.

They returned the following year, but it took time for their reputations to recover.

Now I could make the obvious and frankly tired point about the league fully embracing

gambling companies as they punish their players for it.

Is it hypocritical?

Yeah, probably. But it's a
