The Steelers are heading into their third session of O TAs this week.

It's football and shorts and shells.

It's voluntary, although nearly all the players attend.

And while we're in that lighter period of team activities,

before the pads come on and the real hits start coming,

it seemed like a good opportunity to take a break from stats and analysis for a lighter take.

In his first off season as general manager, Omar Khan has been a busy man. Pittsburgh has signed so many free agents that it almost seems like a year ago

that cornerback Patrick Peterson ain't his deal.

Mere hours after the shocking departure of starting cornerback Cam Sutton back in the

legal tampering period, Ian Rappaport reported that Peterson

would be joining the Steelers. And that was two days before the new league year

technically started. Since then, Peterson has been a regular presence on

podcasts and media interviews.

He's saying all the right things.

How he wants his two-year deal to be his last one.

He wants to finish his career in Pittsburgh.

How head coach Mike Tomlin brings an intensity to every practice and

inspires him routinely, how he wants to mentor the young players and help them succeed,

and how he's happy to play whatever position or role will help the team.
