I know it's only O TAs.

Let's not put the cart before the horse, but it sounds like Thursday was the day for the Pittsburgh Steelers

young cornerbacks to shine. Joey Porter Jr. saw first team reps in part

due to Patrick Peterson being shifted to the slot. Still it's a good sign for him to get that high-level

exposure just a couple weeks into his NFL career. But by all reports, 7th round

corner, Corey Trice Jr. was the star, breaking up three passes and picking off another.

He earned the praise of Peterson and the Monte Casey a couple of playmakers themselves.

We're still far away from assuming anything about those guys Porter and Trice.

But you can't help but get your Jimmy's rustled a bit hearing this kind of stuff.

We know those guys have talent and fit the new age type of cornerback, big long physical guys who make plays on the football.

That's why they were drafted, fitting with the type of defense and secondary and frankly team

Pittsburgh aims to build.

If things break right, Porter and Trice might not just be two Steelers draft

picks, but two Steelers starters come 2024.
