Okay, I swear this will be my last installment wrapping up my NFL draft nostalgia kick.

But there isn't a ton happening in Pittsburgh land right now,

save for the signing of defense alignment arm in Watts.

If you heard yesterday's take, you know I'm listening back to Old Draft Broadcast,

2010, 1998, and for me most recently, 2004, the quarterback-class Eli Manning,

Philip Rivers, and of course, Ben Rothersberger.

It feels like every draft year we talk about how wild and crazy it was, how unpredictable,

how shocking, how chaotic it felt. Some of that is true, obviously given its uncertainty and I think

this year will be especially so once you get past all the quarterbacks going at the top. But no

draft was quite as wild as 2004. It was not just about the

big three quarterbacks themselves. It was about Eli Manning refusing to play for the Chargers and them drafting him anyway.

Watching the broadcast back the awkward tension in the room leading up to the pick and after the

Chargers took him with the intention to keep him, is insane.
