I'm Alex Kizora. Monday I talked about the state of the

Steelers slot corner position on defense. Today I'll flip to discuss their

slot receiver outlook a topic I know I've discussed plenty

over the last couple of podcasts with Dave Bryan so I'll be as concise as I can

Pittsburgh doesn't have anything they can trust in the slot, nothing known or proven, and they need

to add.

Granted, it's a little funny to say because whatever rookie they do add will also be unproven,

but more competition, more options, it's better for the

room and for the team.

The work Pittsburgh's done on receivers this draft season have been slot focus. Pre-track visits with receivers include Old Mrs.

Jonathan Mingo, produce Charlie Jones, and Michigan State's Jane Reed, all three
