Nauji Harris's second half resurgence is a reminder about two things critical in the NFL, good health and a little bit of patients.

Consider Harris examples of both things this year and often as they do in this case

they go hand in hand patience and health.

Harris had a tough start to the summer from one of his very first carries injured on the first day of training camp, held out until the preseason finale he hurt his foot again in week one against the bangles.

Though he downplayed things it's clear he's a different back now than what he was the first six weeks of

the season.

He's playing more to his style and size downhill with power, but still showing plus vision.

Heck, it feels like he has more confidence to push off his foot and cut and bounce to find the lane,

a byproduct of a healthier foot without a steel plate inside his shoe.

Pittsburgh's also been smarter about his role, kept him fresh, and everyone is benefiting.

Understandably, Harris received criticism during his tough stretch to start the year.

That's the nature of the game. Don't play well and

fans will notice. Even I began to get impatient and I was one of his biggest supporters while half the

internet called him Trent Richardson. It's one reason why I like to take the long view the entire season before coming to a conclusion.

So much changes week to week and Harris is proof of that. Of course at the same time we'll see how the rest of the season goes still five

games to play and Harris in this run game will have to finish but he's looking like

the guy that Pittsburgh drafted.
