Heading into the season finale against the Ravens, the Steelers face a true do-or-die situation.

Win the game, and they win the AFC North Division and secure a home game for the first round of the playoffs.

Lose, and the season is over. The players will clean

out their lockers and watch the playoffs from their couches at home. Since Mike Tomlin was named

the head coach, the Steelers have won the AFC North seven times. In that same time frame, the Ravens

have claimed the title six times. Here's one thing the Ravens have never done since they were established back in 1996. The Baltimore Ravens have never clinched the AFC North Division Championship in Pittsburgh. Not at Three River Stadium. Not at Heinz Field. And not at Accresure Stadium. The closest the Ravens have come to celebrating a division victory

in front of the Steelers was back in 2003. Ravens clinched the AFC North based on the Bengals

losing to the Browns, which was a 1 p.m. game in the final week of the regular season. The Ravens hosted

the Steelers for Sunday night football later that same day. For Pittsburgh, who was already eliminated from the

playoff contention, it wasn't really an issue. This time, though, it's a big issue. Not that the

sealers should need any additional motivation at this point, but if they lose this game, they won't just

lose the division. They won't just lose and see their season end. They will see their most hated

rival, the Baltimore Ravens, celebrating their division championship in their stadium, in front of

their fans, in the visitor's locker room, getting their t-shirts and hats. With their

playoff hopes in a line, the Steelers know what's at stake. Losing this game would be bad enough.

But having the Ravens celebrate a victory at Aggresher Stadium

would be adding insult to injury in the ugliest way possible.

The Steelers players and the coaches need to make sure that they don't let the Ravens make history that way tonight.
