I'm Josh Carney. I never thought I'd say these words. But Thursday night in the preseason finale for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Carolina Panthers,

I'll be glued to the punting battle between Cameron Johnston and Corliss Waitman.

That's right, the punting battle in a preseason game.

There aren't many positions up for grabs on the roster for the Steelers, outside of this one.

Both guys are very capable of holding down the rule for the Steelers throughout the 2025 season.

Waitman just proved it last year in the black and gold, setting a franchise record for average

net yards per punt. He also was the holder in a historic season for kicker Chris Boswell, too.
