Sunday is Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, another year without Pittsburgh playing in the big game. The last time

they went without buying a ticket was 2010, meaning we're getting close to a two-decade drought.

And so the question becomes, when will they go back?

No one knows, obviously, but it sure does not feel like it will be anytime soon.

In an AFC with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen playing for the next decade plus,

it's hard to see the path to get around them.

That doesn't even mention tier two quarterbacks like C.J. Stroud and whoever the next it,

QB, is.

Pittsburgh's had a tough and I'm consistently making it with their own Hall of Famer in Ben Rothesberger

in a conference with just two,

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, as the biggest competition. Now there's more names in Pittsburgh is

missing that quarterback cornerstone. Of course, part of the answer will coincide with when the

Steelers find their next franchise guy. How long will that take? It was 20 years from Bradshaw to Ben.

Could it be that long of wait again?

And even if they find that next top talent,

that alone will not be enough to get back.

That will simply put Pittsburgh on par.
