Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers Nation what's on our mind. I'm Ross McCorkle.

For whatever reason, every talking head analyst out there was saying that Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are essentially the same quarterback, just one is a decade older and with diminished

athleticism to make it work less, basically saying what is Wilson going to add to this offense

that Fields can't do?

I think we all saw on Sunday and Wilson's debut that there is a world of difference between the two.

Some of the things are subtle, some not so much.

For one, Russell Wilson was under center in one game almost as much as Justin Fields has been all season through six games.

That allowed for the play action passing game to work.

It also allowed for Wilson to have more command of the offense pre-Snow.

He was making calls like Coors Light and Seahawk.

Some of these may have been just calling slide protection and some may have just been decoys,

but it seems like the Steelers are trusting him more to make calls as a 13-year veteran of the league.

It has been a while since the Steelers have had

that in their arsenal on offense. It wasn't long ago that Pat Friarmo spilled the beans on Ben

Rotherburger's podcast that Kenny Pickett and the offense had zero ability to audible or check to different plays.
